Our Mission The mission of Family Service and Mental Health Center of Oak Park and River Forest is to alleviate suffering and empower individuals and families of our community to live healthier and more hopeful lives by providing a range of professional mental health and community prevention services. Family Service has entered the final phase of its $1.2 million endowment campaign with a generous challenge grant from former River Forest residents Doris and Jay Christopher. By reaching the $1.1 million level in pledges and donations, Family Service will receive an additional 1:1 matching challenge gift, up to $100,000, from the Christophers.
